FINE LINES & WRINKLES
Fine lines and wrinkles are a natural part of skin ageing, developing as collagen and elastin production gradually declines over time. These structural proteins are responsible for firmness, elasticity and smoothness. As they reduce, the skin can appear thinner, less supported and more prone to visible creasing — particularly in areas of repeated movement such as the forehead, eyes and mouth.
Both intrinsic ageing and environmental exposure contribute to these changes. A tailored approach allows us to address the underlying causes while supporting overall skin quality and resilience.
What causes fine lines and wrinkles?
Fine lines often begin as superficial creases and can deepen with time due to:
-
Natural age-related collagen decline
-
Sun exposure and UV damage
-
Repetitive facial movement
-
Dehydration and barrier impairment
-
Lifestyle and environmental factors
Supporting both skin structure and surface health is key to achieving a smoother, more refreshed appearance.
What treatments can help?
A range of clinically supported treatments can improve the appearance of:

-
Early fine lines
-
Deeper expression lines
-
Crepey or thinning skin
-
Uneven texture
-
Loss of firmness and elasticity
-
Dull or dehydrated skin

Treatment selection is highly individualised. Depending on assessment findings, options may include collagen-stimulating procedures, resurfacing treatments, skin-strengthening therapies or combination approaches designed to support both dermal remodelling and surface refinement.
In some cases, and where clinically appropriate, prescription-only treatments may be discussed following comprehensive consultation and medical assessment. Suitability is determined on an individual basis in accordance with current regulatory guidelines.

What to expect
Consultation: Your appointment begins with a detailed consultation to assess facial movement, skin quality and treatment goals. During this time we will discuss the most appropriate options and determine whether you are a suitable candidate.
Treatment Time: Depending on which treatment options and treatment plan established the procedure time can vary from around 15-45 minutes.
Comfort: Treatments are generally comfortable and well tolerated.

Downtime: There is minimal downtime. Small marks or mild redness at the treatment sites may be visible for a short time and typically settle quickly. Most people return to normal daily activities.
Results: Changes develop gradually over several days. Full results are usually visible within 1–2 weeks. Treatments are typically repeated every 3-6 months to maintain results.
Fine lines and wrinkles respond best to a personalised treatment approach that considers facial anatomy, muscle movement and overall skin health to achieve balanced, natural-looking results.
